Religious Institu

Religious Institutions often face unique real estate challenges and require an objective consultant. Our firm has worked with religious institutions to evaluate their real estate portfolios, determine future space needs, and divest surplus real estate.

Recent Examples of Our Work with Religious Institutions

The North Georgia United Methodist Conference needed help developing a master plan and development strategy for its Simpsonwood property, which has extensive frontage on the Chattahoochee River and was improved with a conference and retreat center. Working in concert with a land planner, we evaluated various development scenarios, but ultimately concluded that the highest and best use might well be green space. We then assisted the Conference in the disposition of the property to Gwinnett County for a passive park.

North Avenue Presbyterian Church occupies a prime location in midtown Atlanta. The church has a parking deck on its campus in which the owner of a nearby office building leases a significant number of spaces. The lease agreement was coming up for renewal, and the church retained our firm to assist with this process. We provided market research and prepared a financial analysis that helped the church renew the agreement on favorable terms.
